Trainer

Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work with university students who are passionate about triathlon?

The Club de Triathlon de l’Université de Montréal is currently seeking a head coach for the 2023-2024 season. Active for over 10 years, our club welcomes all levels of athletes and values inclusiveness, respect and collaboration.

Weekly schedule : To be determined

Number of hours per week : +/- 10 hours/week

Workplace: CEPSUM, Parc Jean-Drapeau and other locations near the Université de Montréal

Salary: Competitive

Your responsibilities:

  • Be punctual and responsible for travel to and from CEPSUM and Parc Jean-Drapeau, as well as to and from training sites.
  • Be able to manage our team with patience, organization and enthusiasm.
  • Be able to effectively develop and supervise sessions adapted to different levels of triathlon.
  • Accompany athletes to competitions.
  • Work as a team with the Board and team members.
  • Be passionate about triathlon and know how to pass on your passion to athletes.
  • Provide professional coaching on behalf of the Université de Montréal Club.

Profile required:

  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • Leadership
  • Good communicator (oral and written)
  • Organizational skills
  • Passionate, dynamic and resilient

Requirements:

  • Certified triathlon coach or in the process of certification
  • NCCP level III certification in one of the 3 triathlon sports (an asset)
  • Up-to-date National Lifeguard certification
  • First aid certification (an asset)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a trainer
