Pathway to becoming a certified coach

Steps 5 and 7 are required to be recognised by Triathlon Canada and to become a certified community coach. However, they are optional for recognition by Triathlon Québec.

At Triathlon Québec, coach certification is based on rigorous training requirements to ensure safe, ethical and professional coaching.

Only officially certified coaches can offer their services under our banner, thus guaranteeing high-quality support at all levels.

Triathlon Québec recognises coaches with diverse experience and training backgrounds.

Coaches must hold a valid National Lifeguard certification or first aid training. First aid/CPR training must be a minimum of 8 hours in duration and offered by a recognized organization, such as the Quebec Lifesaving Society and the Canadian Red Cross. If in doubt, contact us to confirm the validity of your training.
